Jang Seung-jo

Jang Seung-jo is, to my eye, the kind of actor a drama is lucky to have rather than one who demands the spotlight. Across Money Flower, Snowdrop, Familiar Wife and Encounter, he keeps showing up in heavy, emotionally layered material and quietly anchoring it. That stage-actor background tells me everything: his presence feels earned, not manufactured. I appreciate that he lets the work speak. Hitting his stride in his forties, he strikes me as a performer who will only deepen, the sort of reliable craftsman who makes everyone around him look better. I am rooting for him.
