Janine Lindemulder

Janine Lindemulder is a figure I read as emblematic of an entire era of adult entertainment. A 1987 Penthouse Pet who became an AVN Hall of Famer, she crossed into wider pop culture through that unforgettable Blink-182 album cover, a moment that fixed her in the memory of people who never followed her industry. The detail I find most humanizing is that she actually plays bass; there is more to her than the image. She has lived through the bright and dark sides of fame, and her willingness to appear in retrospectives about life after the industry shows a candor I genuinely respect.
