Jerry Greenfield

Greenfield is proof that careers rarely follow the plan, and I love him for it. A National Merit Scholar on a pre-med track at Oberlin, he could have become a doctor, but instead co-founded Ben & Jerry's and built one of the most beloved brands in America. What earns my respect is that he and Ben fused commerce with conscience, treating ice cream as a vehicle for activism and philanthropy. From Brooklyn to ice-cream legend, his journey suggests purpose can hide in unexpected flavors. He makes me believe business can be playful, ethical, and genuinely human.
