Jim Cornette

Jim Cornette is a living encyclopedia of professional wrestling, and that is why his opinions carry weight even when they sting. The Louisville native did nearly every job the business offers: manager, booker, commentator, trainer, promoter, and occasional wrestler. Now a podcaster famous for his blistering takes, he is easy to dismiss as merely cantankerous, but I read his sharpness as the frustration of someone who loves the craft too much to watch it done carelessly. His Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame induction is well earned. When a true insider talks, even the rants are worth hearing.
