My Take
I have a soft spot for the unsung architects of a band's sound, and Joe Trohman is exactly that. As co-founder and guitarist of Fall Out Boy, he never needed the spotlight that Patrick Stump commands, yet his riffs are the spine of the whole operation. What I find compelling is his refusal to sit still: the Damned Things let him flex a heavier, metal-leaning instinct that the pop-punk machine doesn't always allow. To me that range signals a real musician rather than a brand. Born in 1984 in Florida, he's spent decades quietly shaping records that millions sing back. I respect that durability.
