My Take
It would be easy to reduce Joey Travolta to being John Travolta's older brother, but I think that misses the more interesting story. Acting, directing, writing, producing, he has worked every side of filmmaking rather than coasting on a famous surname. What moves me most is that he has reportedly devoted himself to teaching young people, including those on the autism spectrum, how to make films. That choice says a lot. Living a creative life slightly out of the spotlight, on his own terms, strikes me as quietly admirable and worth far more attention.
