My Take
For me, Julia Sawalha will always be Saffy from Absolutely Fabulous, the grounded straight woman absorbing her mother's chaos with perfect comic timing, which is far harder than it looks. But I rate her well beyond that single role; from Press Gang onward she showed real backbone as a performer, and her Lydia in Pride and Prejudice proved her range. What I value is her staying power, the quiet reliability of someone who carries long-running series.
