Julian Dennison

What I admire about Julian Dennison is how naturally he carried a film like Hunt for the Wilderpeople, a small New Zealand movie that became its country's highest-grossing film, largely on the strength of his cheeky, deadpan charm. Plenty of child actors fade, but his jump into Deadpool 2 showed range and nerve. Born in 2002, he is still young, yet he already projects a singular blend of mischief and warmth that you cannot manufacture. I tend to trust performers with that kind of texture over polished stars, and I expect Dennison to age into something genuinely interesting on screen.
