My Take

Gaston intrigues me precisely because he refuses to stay in one box. Singer, actor, model, screenwriter, a Nashville Star alum and a soap-opera face out of small-town Louisiana. Finishing tenth could have ended things, but he kept widening his range instead of retreating, and I admire that stubbornness. The real question with multi-hyphenates is whether they spread thin or eventually fuse everything into something singular. That second act is always the interesting part to watch, and Gaston has the Leo magnetism to pull it off. I'll be keeping an eye on where he lands.

Justin Michael Gaston (born August 12, 1988) is an American singer-songwriter, model, and actor who was also a contestant on Nashville Star on season 6. He finished 10th overall out of 12 contestants. He portrayed the role of Ben Rogers on Days of Our Lives for less than four months in 2014. He appeared on the magazine cover of Tetu in 2013.
