My Take

Honestly, Kate Walsh might be one of the most underrated presences to ever come out of the Grey's Anatomy universe. When she showed up as Addison Montgomery — all red hair and razor-sharp one-liners and barely contained heartbreak — she completely stole scenes from the show's own lead, and the audience knew it too, which is exactly why she got her own spinoff with Private Practice. What I love about her is that she never plays the villain easy; Addison was messy and brilliant and human, and Walsh made you root for her even when she was doing objectively questionable things. She studied at the University of Arizona, built her career the slow theatrical way, and by the time she hit TV stardom she had the chops to back it all up. Watching her return to Grey's years later felt like the show remembering what made it good.
