Keisuke Tsumura

Honestly, when I hear "politician," my guard goes up a little — but then I looked at where this guy is from and something clicked. Tsuyama, Okayama. That quiet castle-town energy feels like it shaped him more than any campaign slogan ever could. Tokyo University says it all on the brains front — we're talking genuinely sharp, not just credentialed — but the image I get isn't some flashy front-bencher. I picture a methodical, serious guy who grinds through the details while everyone else is playing optics. Born in 1971, so he's right in that generation that had to claw for relevance through two lost decades of Japanese politics. I don't know every chapter of his career, but showing up with a real hometown name on your back and actually staying accountable to it — that takes guts. Quietly rooting for him.
