Kento Misao

I'll be honest, Kento Misao is the kind of player I end up quietly respecting more than the headline guys. Born in 1996 and raised in Musashino, Tokyo, he reads to me like a midfield grinder rather than a goal-poaching showman — the type who lives in the middle of the park, snuffs out attacks, wins the ugly balls, and hands his teammates a clean platform to go forward. At 181cm there's some physical presence, but what I imagine I'd notice most is the unglamorous stuff: positioning, timing, that calm decision-making that maybe traces back to his Rikkyo Ikebukuro schooling. That contrast is exactly what makes him quietly cool to me — the player you only miss once he's gone.
