Keone Young

Keone Young is the sort of working actor I deeply respect: a Honolulu-born performer who has spent decades enriching television, film, and voice work without ever needing top billing. His Mr. Wu in Deadwood lingers in the memory far longer than the screen time would suggest, and lending his voice to Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe shows a range that runs from gritty drama to animation. Still active near eighty, he embodies the kind of durable, character-driven career I find most enviable, while also helping widen the path for Asian American actors. That quiet longevity is its own form of stardom.
