My Take

Kiersey Clemons has the kind of natural, lived-in charm that makes every role feel effortless. Her breakout in Dope showed real comic timing, but it was Hearts Beat Loud that won me over; her singing voice is genuinely lovely and she carried that whole father-daughter story with warmth. She has had a famously bumpy ride waiting for The Flash to actually reach screens after being cast as Iris West years earlier, and I admire how she kept building momentum anyway. She slides between indies, voice work and big franchises without losing herself, which is harder than it looks.
