My Take
What fascinates me about Kai Ko is the arc of a boy from the tiny Penghu Islands who became the face of an entire generation's nostalgia with You Are the Apple of My Eye. I see real, untrained warmth in him, and I respect that he wants to act, sing, and direct rather than stay in one lane. He stumbled publicly and nearly disappeared, but I tend to trust performers who have walked through their own wreckage and come back.
