Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson is, to me, the most important quarterback of his generation, not because of the trophies, though the 2016 Heisman came absurdly early, but because of what he disproved. Scouts let him slide to the very last pick of the first round in 2018, with some suggesting he switch positions entirely. He answered by redefining what the position even means, marrying genuine passing craft with running ability no defense can fully scheme against. I respect athletes who win the argument with their play instead of their mouth, and Jackson has done exactly that in Baltimore. Watching him is watching orthodoxy lose, week after week.
