My Take
Lance Bass is a reminder that boy-band fame can be a launchpad rather than a ceiling. As the bass voice of NSYNC, he rode one of the best-selling pop acts ever, then pivoted into producing and acting, even starring in and producing On the Line through his own Bacon & Eggs company. What I admire is the entrepreneurial instinct; rather than coast on nostalgia, he built infrastructure around himself. The Mississippi-kid-to-pop-star story is classic, but the part that interests me more is the second act, where the spotlight fades and you find out who actually has a plan.

The band has sold over 70 million records, becoming one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. NSYNC's success led Bass to work in film and television.
