My Take
Larry Van Kriedt fascinates me precisely because of how brief his most famous chapter was. Being the original bassist of AC/DC for only a few months in 1973 could have been a footnote, but I see it as proof that he was present at the birth of something legendary. What strikes me more is everything after: a musician who kept playing guitar, saxophone, and singing as a street performer, choosing the joy of making music over the chase for fame. That quiet persistence appeals to me. Born in San Francisco and later tied to Australia, he embodies the wandering artist who measures success by the sound itself.
