My Take

Lee Jong-suk fascinates me because he climbed from the runway to the top tier of Korean acting purely on the strength of his work. Roles in School 2013, Pinocchio, and W showed a performer who could marry striking physical poise with genuine emotional fragility, and that combination is harder to pull off than it looks. What I respect is that he never seems to coast on his good looks; Big Mouth proved he is still hunting for new registers. Educated at Konkuk University, he comes across as thoughtful as he is photogenic, and that restless, unshowy drive is what keeps me watching him.
