My Take

What floors me about Leonardo da Vinci is that the same hand which painted the Mona Lisa also filled notebooks with anatomy, astronomy, and machines. Calling him a painter undersells him; he was pure, restless curiosity. The Last Supper and the Vitruvian Man are proof of one mind stitching art and science together. His Aries appetite for leaping in also left a trail of unfinished work. I revere him precisely because that imperfect, deeply human side comes packaged with the genius.
