My Take
What strikes me about Lisa Vanderpump is how she turned her own name into an empire. Starting as a child actor in Dulwich and ending up running restaurants across Beverly Hills with husband Ken Todd, she is the rare reality star who is also a genuine entrepreneur. The Real Housewives gave her a stage, but the brand-building, the cocktail bars, and even her dog rescue work show real ambition underneath the glamour. Earning honorary citizenship in 2011 tells me she is taken seriously beyond television. I admire that she stayed unmistakably herself while building something that will outlast the cameras.
