Lorenzo Lucca

Lorenzo Lucca is one of those players who makes you do a double-take the first time you see him on the pitch — at 6'7" he towers over virtually every defender he faces, yet he moves with a coordination that big strikers rarely have. I got properly interested in him during his Udinese days, where he was quietly racking up goals for a side that nobody expected to be competitive. What strikes me most is that he isn't just a target man you lump the ball at; he's got decent touch, a sharp eye for positioning, and he's clearly hungry. Breaking into the Italy national team squad while still in his early twenties says a lot — the Azzurri have no shortage of attacking options, so earning that call-up means he's doing something genuinely right. He feels like a player whose ceiling we haven't seen yet.
