Luis Arráez

Arráez is my kind of hitter. In an era obsessed with launch angle and home runs, here is a guy who simply refuses to miss the ball, slapping it everywhere like the sprinkler his nickname says he is. Winning both a Silver Slugger and the Aparicio Award in 2022 on pure contact ability is quietly remarkable. He has bounced between the Twins, Marlins, Padres and Giants, yet the bat travels with him every time. I love watching throwbacks who win by craft rather than spectacle, and Arráez is exactly that rare professional artist.
