Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is one of those rare breakout stories I genuinely root for. Born in Mississauga, Ontario in 2001, she landed the lead role of Devi in Netflix's Never Have I Ever after answering an open casting call, which still feels like a small miracle of timing and talent.
