My Take
Honestly, the name Punitan already has me — there's something instantly disarming about it, like it was designed to make you smile before you've seen a single photo. She's a gravure idol out of Nomi City in Ishikawa Prefecture, which is this quiet, grounded corner of the Hokuriku region, and something about that contrast — serene northern Japan countryside to glossy idol shoots — is genuinely charming to think about. At 160 cm she's got that relatable, girl-next-door energy rather than untouchable glamour, and I think that's probably her whole appeal — not intimidating, just genuinely likable. She spent years in the idol groups Oyayubi Princess (2013–2016) and its revival (2017–2018) before focusing on gravure, and the vibe she puts out is the kind that quietly makes fans feel at ease, and honestly in this industry that's a rarer skill than it looks.
