My Take
Marie Avgeropoulos earned my attention as Octavia Blake on The 100, a role that evolved from sheltered girl to hardened warrior across six seasons. That arc demanded range, and her sharp, watchful presence carried it convincingly. Coming from Thunder Bay with a Lakehead education and a modeling background, she has the kind of grounded, slightly feral energy that suits genre television well. I think she is sometimes underrated simply because the show was, and I'd love to see her get material that stretches her further. There's a steeliness in her performances I suspect we have not yet seen the limits of.
