My Take

Marisa Abela is someone I've watched climb fast. What pulls me in is that she broke through on Industry, the BBC and HBO drama, and walked away with a British Academy Television Award for Best Actress for it, which is no small thing for an actor born in 1996. I respect that she built her name on television, with that recurring role in COBRA in the parallel, rather than waiting for one lucky film. Being from Brighton, she feels like part of that fresh wave of British screen talent I keep noticing. I'm curious to see where she goes from here, because the trajectory looks steep.
