My Take
Mark Aguirre was a genuine star before a lot of fans realized how good he was, the kind of scorer who got buckets without making it look flashy. At 198cm out of Chicago by way of DePaul, he was a top NBA pick and later won championships in Detroit, which is the part I find most interesting. Plenty of high-volume scorers can't adjust to a smaller role, but he did, and that's a harder skill than scoring. He later moved into coaching too. The record here is thin, but his on-court resume speaks loudly enough that I don't need the trivia.
