My Take

What I find compelling about Mark Briscoe is how his story is inseparable from his late brother Jay. The Briscoe Brothers built their reputation in Ring of Honor as one of tag team wrestling's defining acts, and watching Mark carry that legacy into a singles run with AEW, where he became a one-time TNT Champion, hits differently knowing the loss behind it. He's a Delaware kid through and through, and his rugged, no-frills style feels true to that. To me he reads less as a manufactured star and more as a working wrestler who earned every bit of his spot.

Mark Pugh (born January 18, 1985), better known by his ring name Mark Briscoe, is an American professional wrestler. He is signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he is a member of The Conglomeration stable and is a one-time AEW TNT Champion. He also makes appearances for AEW's sister promotion Ring of Honor (ROH), where he made a name teaming with his brother Jay as the Briscoe Brothers.
