My Take

Greenwood's raw talent has never been in question for me. Becoming Manchester United's youngest ever goalscorer in European competition at seventeen tells you everything about his ceiling. What I watch for now is the player he becomes at Marseille, where he has rebuilt his career as a forward in Ligue 1. Strikers with his two-footed finishing and quick release are genuinely rare, and at his age the prime years are still ahead. Whether he fulfills that enormous early promise is one of football's more compelling open questions, and I find myself unable to look away from how the answer unfolds.
