My Take

Matt Lanter has quietly built one of the more interesting genre careers of his generation. Most fans first met him as Liam on the 90210 reboot, but for me his defining work is the voice of Anakin Skywalker across Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He gave Anakin a charm, recklessness and growing darkness that arguably deepened the prequels in retrospect, and he carried it for years. Add Wyatt in Timeless, where he balanced action-hero stoicism with real grief, and you get an actor with range that the modeling-pretty-boy label never captured. I always root for him to land that one breakout lead.

Overview

Matt Lanter (born April 1, 1983, in Massillon, Ohio) is an American actor, voice actor and former model. He attended Collins Hill High School and the University of Georgia. He is widely known for voicing Anakin Skywalker in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and for live-action roles including the prime-time series 90210 and the time-travel drama Timeless.
