My Take
Melissa Benoist is one of those performers who makes you forget how hard it actually is to do what she does — she waltzed onto Glee as Marley Rose and just fit, sweet and grounded in a cast full of veterans, and then somehow leveled up into being Supergirl for six years without it ever feeling like a stunt. That's a serious range. She trained at Marymount Manhattan College, brought real vocal chops to the role, and the fact that she's also a dancer and eventually stepped behind the camera as a director tells you this isn't someone who coasted on a pretty face. She's a craftsperson. I've always found her quietly underrated — carrying a superhero franchise solo week after week is genuinely hard, and she did it with warmth and conviction throughout.
