My Take
What fascinates me about Michael Bloomberg is the second act. Building a financial-data empire from scratch would be a complete life for most people; he treated it as a prologue, then spent twelve years running New York City, arguably the most scrutinized municipal job on earth. I don't agree with every policy he pushed, but I respect the sheer appetite for difficulty—a billionaire who chose potholes and budget fights over a yacht. Add the pilot's license, the books, and a philanthropy record studded with honors, and you get restlessness as a virtue. He seems to measure wealth by what it can fix, and that mindset is rarer than the money.
