My Take
Michael Redd was the kind of player I loved to watch. A Columbus kid who stayed home for Ohio State before spending twelve seasons in the NBA, mostly with Milwaukee, he had one of the smoothest left-handed jumpers of his era. He was a scorer's scorer, building his points through craft rather than flash, which is exactly my taste. Injuries cut into what could have been an even bigger career, yet he kept battling, and that persistence speaks well of his character. His loyalty to his hometown only makes him easier to root for.
