My Take
I have a soft spot for coaches like Mike Budenholzer who win through structure rather than swagger. Coming out of Holbrook, Arizona and Pomona College, he climbed the ranks the hard way, earning Coach of the Year in 2015 and ultimately a title with Milwaukee in 2021. What impresses me is his ability to maximize a roster's strengths and grind out wins through organization rather than relying on a single superstar. To me, he embodies the quiet craftsman of basketball coaching, the kind of leader whose value shows up in results more than headlines. I respect that deeply.
