My Take
Mix Master Mike genuinely thrills me as a pure innovator of his craft. A three-time DMC World DJ Champion from San Francisco, he treats turntables like instruments, conjuring sounds nobody else thought possible. His years touring with the Beastie Boys cemented his place at the heart of hip hop history, and the title of one of the greatest DJs ever feels fully earned. What I admire is how much expression he wrings from sheer manual skill and imagination. Behind the name Michael Schwartz is an artist who turns scratching into storytelling, and I have endless respect for that mastery.
