My Take
Molly Sandén interests me as a study in staying power. Representing Sweden at Junior Eurovision as a teen and returning to Melodifestivalen across 2009, 2012, and 2016, she could easily have flamed out as a child prodigy, yet she kept maturing instead, releasing her third album in 2018 and lending her voice to acting work too. Growing up in a Stockholm household where her sisters Frida and Mimmi also sing surely sharpened her. I have a soft spot for Scandinavian pop's crisp, luminous sound, and Sandén embodies the patient, build-it-slowly kind of artist I think lasts longest.
