Narumi Takahashi

Under 150 cm tall, Takahashi made her size an advantage, not a limit. With Mervin Tran she took bronze at the 2012 World Championships, the first world medal any Japanese pair had won. Injuries ended that partnership, so she rebuilt with Ryuichi Kihara and reached the Sochi Olympics. Six national titles, then ice hockey and a seat on the Japanese Olympic Committee's council.
