My Take
Naya Rivera's career is one I think about with both admiration and ache. She worked from childhood — commercials, small parts, years of grinding — before Glee gave her Santana Lopez, a character she turned into something far bigger than the script: funny, ferocious, and quietly groundbreaking for representation on network television. That she sang, danced, and acted with equal conviction made her the rare triple threat who never seemed to be showing off. Her death in 2020 at thirty-three cut the story brutally short, but I refuse to read her legacy as tragedy alone. The work survives, and it still lands.
