My Take
Neil Patrick Harris is one of those rare performers who genuinely excels at everything — and I mean everything. He started as a teen prodigy playing Doogie Howser, M.D., then somehow reinvented himself so completely as Barney Stinson on How I Met Your Mother that a whole generation forgot he ever wore a lab coat. But honestly, his stage work is where he truly shines: his 2014 Tony Award for Hedwig and the Angry Inch wasn't just deserved, it was one of those "oh right, this guy is a real artist" moments for a lot of people. Add in his slick Emmy hosting stints, his genuine magic chops, and the fact that he came out publicly in 2006 with zero drama and just kept working — NPH is the rare Hollywood lifer who's actually earned every room he's walked into.
