My Take
What hooks me about Nobuyuki Fukushima is the bureaucrat-turned-politician arc: eight years at the trade ministry, then four terms in the House of Representatives. There's something I genuinely respect about someone who learned how the machine actually works from the inside before stepping out front to run on his own name. He's an Ibaraki guy, born in Hitachi back in 1970, came up through Mito's old-line schools, and honestly that whole profile reads less flashy showman and more steady, do-the-homework type. The vibe I get is earnest, grounded, allergic to gimmicks, and that's a flavor of public figure I find quietly reassuring.
