My Take
Paulo Autuori reads to me as the classic well-traveled Brazilian football brain rather than a household-name superstar. Born in Rio in 1956, educated at the Pontifical Catholic University there, he built his reputation as a coach and executive who could plug into clubs across South America, including a stint managing Peru's Sporting Cristal. What I respect about figures like him is the willingness to move continents and adapt, the unglamorous craft of management that rarely gets the spotlight strikers do. He's still active enough to keep a presence on social media. To me he embodies the export of Brazilian football knowledge well beyond Brazil's borders.
