My Take

David Arnold is, to me, one of the great unsung architects of modern blockbuster sound. Scoring five James Bond films is a feat in itself, but add Independence Day, which won him a Grammy, plus the Sherlock theme, and you have a composer fluent in both spectacle and intimacy. I love how he can write a hook that lodges in your memory while still serving the scale of a giant screen. A kid from Luton growing up to command the world's cinemas through music is genuinely inspiring. Whenever his name rolls in the credits, I find myself grinning.
