My Take
Rachel McAdams is my favorite kind of star: the one who could have coasted on charm and chose range instead. In a single stretch she gave us a perfect teen villain and a perfect romantic lead, which are opposite skill sets, and then disappeared into the ensemble of Spotlight so completely that her discipline became the performance. That York University theatre training shows in how generously she plays with others rather than over them. I find it telling that her biggest trophies are cast awards; she makes everyone around her better. The 2026 Walk of Fame star felt overdue to me.
