My Take

Randy Fine interests me as a study in lateral ambition. A Harvard graduate and former gambling-industry executive who climbed from the Florida House to the Senate and then to Congress by 2025 brings something I think is underrated in politics: real operational experience before the campaign trail. I stay out of partisan judgment, but I respect officials who understand numbers and management before they understand slogans. He is clearly a polarizing figure who leads with conviction, and that tends to leave a mark on the record one way or another. I'm watching where this trajectory lands rather than rushing to score it.
