My Take
That's not the glamour route, and yet by 2022 he'd swiped enough bases in the farm league to win the Western League stolen-base title, which tells you the legs are real. Getting promoted to the active roster in 2024 alongside the so-called "育成三銃士" crew felt like a proper payoff moment. He's a left-handed bat, fleet-footed outfielder on one of the most stacked rosters in Japanese baseball — which makes even getting on the field an achievement. I'm rooting for him to carve out a real starting role, because players who take the long way up tend to play with a chip on their shoulder, and that's always more fun to watch.
