My Take
Robert Knepper is one of those character actors who elevates everything around him. To me he will always be T-Bag from Prison Break, all silky menace and a smile that makes your skin crawl, a villain so magnetic you can't look away or quite hate him. A Northwestern-trained stage actor from Fremont, Ohio, he carried that craft into Heroes, iZombie and Twin Peaks. I've long believed the right scene-stealer raises a production's whole register, and Knepper is exhibition A. When he's on screen, the air tightens a notch. That's a rare and valuable gift in a working actor.
