Ruby Lin

Ruby Lin is, to me, a model of how a performer ages into power rather than out of it. Most people remember her as the gentle princess from My Fair Princess, but what I admire is her pivot to producing, taking control of the stories rather than waiting to be cast in them. That instinct, building a career as a maker and not just a face, is what separates lasting figures from fleeting ones. Decades into stardom she's still relevant across Asia, and I think that staying power is earned, not given. She reads as someone who understood the industry early and refused to be defined by it.
