My Take
What fascinates me about Ryan Murphy is that he turned excess into a signature. Few creators can swing from the scalpel-sharp satire of Nip/Tuck to the show-choir earnestness of Glee, then to the gothic theatrics of American Horror Story, without losing their identity. To me, his real legacy is Pose: beneath all the camp and spectacle, he keeps finding room for people television used to ignore. A former journalist from Indianapolis becoming the most powerful man in TV, complete with that record Netflix deal, feels less like luck than relentless, Scorpio-grade ambition. I admire that the ambition still serves empathy.
