My Take
Honestly, a 182cm kid from Osaka born in 2001 who's already out there on the pitch chasing his dream — that combination alone makes me root for the guy without knowing much else. He's barely in his early twenties as of 2024, which means the résumé is still being written, and that's not a knock — that's the most exciting part. Osaka tends to produce players with a certain grit and flair (the city doesn't do bland), so I'm curious to see which direction Nishio leans as he matures. He came up through Cerezo Osaka's academy and played for Japan's under-23 side, and sometimes the quiet ones are the ones worth watching when the spotlight finally swings their way.
